The meerkats remind me of a time...Brilliant Hoggy.<br /><br />The meerkats remind me of a time in the very early eighties when there was a bunch of us bussing it from Edinburgh to Hampden.<br />It was a Scotland v Israel match; instead of the usual tossies, tammies and jimmy wigs for headgear it was towels and tablecloths held on with scout belts.<br />Being a Tartan Army detachment, much drink had been taken, so the driver was prevailed on to stop at a layby will much good natured cajoling and as bladders tightened, good natured threats...<br /><br />So, imagine the the scene; a bleak windswept layby with no cover, around forty kilted fedayeen shoulder to shoulder hosing down the side of the bus.<br /><br />And the driver drives twenty yards down the road...Conan the Librarian™https://www.blogger.com/profile/01904339261121451779noreply@blogger.com
