Very funny Conan! (but way to uncomfortable with legs akimbo on a Hog) Believe it or believe it, but that pic was a flyer issued during the Sydney gay pride march in 2003, advising folks who may have come from abroad, that the traffic comes at you from a different direction down there. Yes, quite. As for me and Mrs Hogday, we were there for, amongst other things on our world backpack, the Harley 100th anniversary, dressed as tourists ;)

I may have to attend the Thunder in the Glens Harley rally this summer. I'll be in black.

Aahhhhhhhh yeah?! Throw some shrimps on the barbie yah great flaming galah!

I was in Aus in 2003! Had a great time in the middle, up the top, down the right hand side. Sydney is very pretty but not sure I could live there long term. Something didn't quite click with me.

Blue: The Alice was one of the strangest places we've ever been. I can see how it grows on folks, (but not Toddy's backpackers resort - hopefully under new management!)

It was interesting being out there and in NZ at the time George W launched the first strike on Baghdad. Much debate whenever my Brit accent was heard at the bar.

Ahh OK so I was there just after you then. I was in Laos when the bombs started dropping. The Lao people are not particularly pro-American as you might have guessed...

CI-RD: You'd like Oz. I was there over Oz day in 2003. The day before it was 40 degress C, 12 hours later it was down to 5. Interesting challenge when you only had shorts, flipflops and T shirt. "Adapt or Die" should be the National motto.
