Tourists - Please read this road safety warning

During my recent trip to London I was shocked to see so many tourists stepping out in front of traffic. We drive on the LEFT over here!

On the other hand, the sudden appearance of SOME pedestrians would simply stop traffic anyway!

Or in some places cause it to veer into pedestrians waiting to cross. What's it like down in Georgia?

Spark`:
I still haven't worked it all out.

Looks more like a poster that should be describing 'pedestrian points' in Death Race 2000 Hog.aco

ACO> Its an Aussie poster. Whatever were we doing letting that Captain Cook loose with a SatNav?

HD,
I think we could really help this problem if we could get the rest of thw world to drive on the other side of the road.
What that would do for the first year or 2 is kill off all the really stupid people...then the rest would catch on and get smarter.

I remember when I was visiting the UK whilst I was in the US Army --- many years ago. After a night of visiting pubs, I almost got run over a few times.

However, by my yelling out: "You are driving on the wrong side of the road!"

I only got laughs from my mates in the UK Army.

My Hooterville's is Indiana. Half of them drive like they're at the Speedway, and the other half meander along as if nobody else needs the road. Lane usage is variable.

Here in the Land of the Badgers ( Wisconsin ), we expect people to look both ways before crossing.

SuzScott : They're out there as well??? Oh dear.

Roller Dude:
I presume you were also appropriately dressed whilst enjoying the `horsebrutality` of the old country!

Looks like San Francisco. I'd recognize that gay, macho Gestapo theme anywhere.

Your crossing guard is alarmingly hard to spot, wheres his high viz?

When a guy on a SF cablecar said I had `a lovely smile`, I made sure I held my wife's hand more often than I already do.

PG:
Apparently, it's easy to find, if you know where to look ;)

Thirteen WWII fighters, in formation, flew over my house a couple of times on sunday. The noise was something you wouldn't believe and was really rather awesome. One of them, a P-51, crashed later that day. Which was less so.
I've always loved clam chowder and sour dough bread, so clam chowder in a bowl made out of sour dough really hit the spot. I also enjoyed all the old sailing ships, down in San Fran bay. Most were built in Scotland, and as my family is from Scotland and worked either in the mines or the shipyards, there was the unlikely yet tantalising possibility that one of them might have had something to do with one of those ships.
Some of those bars were just so Village People, it was hilarious.
