A lifetime of public service, no previous convictions, never kissed the Director General of the BBC....
so what does a guy have to do do get nominated for an MBE around here???????

I recall getting my first radio and enjoying 'Round the Horne' and 'Im Sorry I'll read that again' comedy programmes. Marty Feldman wrote some scripts and Tim Brook-Taylor was in ISIRTA. They've dated only a little since then. My favourite was John Cleese in a short skit as a coach holiday guide across Europe:
