I'm so glad they're getting those guys out of there. I hate it underground and can't imagine spending 2 months down there. The darkness is so heavy it just squashes any little light you aim into it. Underground miners are tough folk. And those drillers! Wow, was just noting somewhere on facebook that I've known drillers that couldn't accurately toe a hole within 5 feet of the surface never mind 300 feet(waiver: I also know some awesome drillers). I'm really impressed by everyones efforts over there, but the driller is my Hero, can't imagine the tension he must have been under!

Pity we can't infill it with the chav wasters of the UK - or am I getting too harsh and judgmental in my advancing years?

Nope - but I think we might need an even bigger hole than that... :(
