Norfolk Style

Its only minus 4 today, here in Norfolk, the warmest its been all week. Anglia buses aren't running anywhere today, yet our road is the grippiest its been all week - I think the council have issued bigger spoons to spread the salt about. Everyones watch is 20 years slow in these 'ere parts, but they all seems to loik it that way :) Was out for a walk in the ice yesterday and a local asked me, `Hant you got a hoom to goo to?` I smiled and said, `quarter past eight`.

I read somewhere that there are over 300 dialects of Englosh in the UK...alone.

Like Germany - over 300 dialects. I got to the point when in the Army the Germans could understandme but it usually came with a slight smile as if to acknowledge, "well at least he is trying". \

I remember being in a Munich camera shop - speaking what was to me German, and the shopkeeper finally saying "I'm sorry but I can't understand you - but don't worry - the northerners can't understand us either".

I would imagine you get someone with a good Scottish brogue, traveling to the other end and its the same way .
