Allan! Allan! Allan!

Most of my police-type mates (the `good guys` anyway) will enjoy this, as will the military-types and other eccentrics who drop by. Somehow it sums up what my take on life has been all about these past decades.....

Brilliant Hoggy.

The meerkats remind me of a time in the very early eighties when there was a bunch of us bussing it from Edinburgh to Hampden.
It was a Scotland v Israel match; instead of the usual tossies, tammies and jimmy wigs for headgear it was towels and tablecloths held on with scout belts.
Being a Tartan Army detachment, much drink had been taken, so the driver was prevailed on to stop at a layby will much good natured cajoling and as bladders tightened, good natured threats...

So, imagine the the scene; a bleak windswept layby with no cover, around forty kilted fedayeen shoulder to shoulder hosing down the side of the bus.

And the driver drives twenty yards down the road...

Very good indeed. I particularly like the Michael Jackson tribute!

"other eccentrics who drop by"

Right at the very centre of this category!

I suspect we're all someone's eccentric/odd/weird friend

My friend's fiancée described me as her son's "mad uncle" the other day. I took this as a compliment.
